PRAYER FOR OUR CHURCH’S RENOVATION
Most Blessed Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we adore, praise, and glorify You. Lord, we thank You for calling us to become members of the Shrine Church of Our Lady of Solace. We thank You for the precious gift of faith by Your grace. We ask that you send Your Spirit to guide us with wisdom and lead us to follow Your will. Lord, we ask You to bless us as we begin the restoration work of our church. Bless all the parishioners and friends of our church. Grant us a good heart to be generous with our time, talents and resources. We pray for everyone who is involved in this renovation work. Grant us patience to endure the challenges joyfully. We pray for ourselves that we may continue to grow in faith, hope and love so that we may always be faithful witnesses to You. Amen.
Please join us in this massive undertaking by sponsoring a pew. A small plaque will be affixed to each pew sponsored and your sponsorship may be either direct sponsorship or as a memorial. Most importantly, you and your loved ones will be a part of this historic church building and a loving and grateful parish family. A sponsorship form is available by clicking the link below. Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
Our Parish Mission Statement
Since 1900, the Shrine Church of Our Lady of Solace has been the only Catholic Faith Community in Coney Island. We are committed to welcoming all of God’s people who come to live on or visit our shores.
We are a Eucharistic community proclaiming in Word and Sacrament, the Death and Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
In union with Christ and relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we seek to understand and respond to the spiritual, educational and social needs of our diverse community.
