The Passion Play is presented on Palm Sunday of each year with moving solemnity and great beauty by the youth of our parish, and it is expertly produced and directed. It has become an event not to be missed, not just in support of our children, but for the great living narrative they present and how they present it. It is preceded by a program of the solemn music of Holy Week and Passiontide by the Our Lady of Solace Choir under the direction of Robert Weigel.
The Passion Play commences with the reading of the first chapter of the Gospel According to St. John (“In the beginning there was the Word…”). (Photographs by Fior Torres)
