One of the greatest events in the modern history of the Roman Catholic Church in America was the pilgrimage and visit of our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, to the United States in April of 2008. Over the three days of his stay in New York, Pope Benedict celebrated public Masses at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan and at the original Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, providing a final exclamation point to the great history of the baseball stadium that was also host to two other Papal Masses (Paul VI on October 4, 1965 and John Paul II on October 2, 1979). We present a unique opportunity to relive the sacred experience of these Masses. The Mass at St. Patrick’s is presented in two parts and the Yankee Stadium Mass in presented in three.
